Invitation to Exhibit Your Art at the First Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County Art Show!

May 1 to 31, 2025, Town of Chester Library, Chestertown Submit a jpeg of your art by April 1^st

Attention all artists and aspiring youth artists: We invite you to participate in the first Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County Art Show this May. All 4-H members and youth between the ages of 5 and 19 are invited to participate. (Adult participation is also encouraged. For more information on adult participation, please contact Linden Pearsall at lmp274@cornell.edu).

Themes for potential submissions include:

Flowers: Perennials, Annuals

Houseplants/ Indoor plants

Floral arrangements

Garden Landscapes

Pollinators

Trees

Vegetables, Fruits and Herbs

People and Plants

The art may be in any style and any medium which can be hung on a wall: photographs, drawings, paintings, collages, textiles, dried flower creations

Youth participants will offer their art for display only. After the art show, youth will be encouraged to exhibit their art at the Annual Warren County Youth Fair on August 2, 2025, where premiums are provided to youth age 8+. If you are interested in this art show, please submit the dimensions, medium, description, and a jpeg image of your piece(s) to Roxanne Westcott at rmw38@cornell.edu by April 1, 2025. Submit up to five pieces for consideration. All artwork must be ready to hang and packaged for transportation to the library.

Art is a perfect vehicle for educational and outreach work in our community and written educational pieces will accompany the art. We will also have a reception and all participating artists will be offered the opportunity to speak about their art and their experience in creating it if they choose to. (This would be a nice opportunity to practice your 4-H public presentation skills!)
