Pickling and Food Preservation Class

Learn how to create delicious homemade pickles, relishes, and chutneys while mastering safe food preservation techniques at an upcoming Pickling Class hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension on July 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This program will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Training Center, 377 Schroon River Road, Warrensburg, NY.

Participants will learn how to make “quick process” pickled products, including dilly beans, marinated peppers, and salsa. The class will also cover safe home canning practices, including the boiling-water method for preserving high-acid foods for long-term storage. The cost is $15 per person.
