Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County will be
hosting the Game of
Logging Level 1 training course on Monday, April 29th
and Storm Damage
Response (level 3) training course on Tuesday, April 30th .
Both workshops will start promptly at 8am and end around 5pm.
Participants should plan to arrive around 7:30am to sign in. Please note that
each level beyond level 1 requires the subsequent levels be taken first.
These training courses will take place at Martin’s Lumber; located at 280
Valley Rd, Thurman, NY. The cost will be $90 per person per class; $45 of that
will be considered a non-refundable deposit. This is a $70 reduction from
full price due to grant funding. We will require full payment at the time
of registration. Please be advised, if you need to cancel do so on or before
April 22nd, you will be refunded $45. Cancellations happening
after April 22nd will not
be refunded.
Please bring the following equipment: gas-powered saw (with fuel and oil),
boots (preferably with a safety toe), helmet, eye and ear protection, and
chaps. Please note that the instructor will not let people cut unless
they are wearing chaps, helmet, and eye and ear protection. Lastly, you
need to bring a lunch.
