​Healthy Fruit and Yogurt Smoothies

This smoothie recipe is from the Choose Health, Food, Fun, and Fitness curriculum are written and produced by Cornell University. Although it calls for strawberries and vanilla yogurt, you can use whatever frozen fruit and whatever flavor of yogurt that you prefer.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (12 oz) strawberries or other frozen fruit
  • 2 cups fat-free milk
  • 1 large banana
  • 3/4 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

Directions:

1. Slightly defrost frozen fruit, just enough so that it will blend easily.

2. Pour milk into a blender.

3. Add frozen fruit pieces to the blender.

4. Add banana and yogurt.

5. Blend until smooth – about 30-45 seconds.
