Cheesy Taco Popcorn Seasoning

To satiate your savory snack craving, why not try making this cheesy taco popcorn seasoning? Similar in taste to nacho cheese flavoring, this mix is inexpensive, easy to throw together, and is much healthier than its highly processed counterpart. I love to use this seasoning on air-popped popcorn, but this will stick even better to stove-popped popcorn. For a mess-free treat, put servings of popcorn along with seasoning in paper lunch bags, fold, and shake to coat. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon ground chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast (OR parmesan cheese)

Directions:

  • 1.Mix spices together in small bowl, and set aside.
  • 2.Add spices to popped popcorn. Mix will coat around 10 cups popped popcorn (around ½ cup unpopped).
