The contest begins on May 10th, 2019. Submissions will be accepted through June 21st. Winners will be announced on our website, social media pages, and we will contact you directly by email. This contest is open to K-12 students within a 75 mile radius of Warrensburg, New York. However, participation is highly encouraged by school districts currently participating in our program. Participating schools include: Bolton, Fort Ann, Glens Falls City, Glens Falls Common, Hadley-Luzerne, Johnsburg, Lake George, North Warren, Queensbury, Warrensburg, and Whitehall. Farm to School programs connect schools with local farms and typically include: school meals featuring local food, classroom education about food and agriculture, school gardens, learning about food production directly from a local farmer.
In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be:
1.Submitted to Annie Mills, akm233@cornell.edu by June 21st.
2.Submitted in their original source file (if graphic design/digital entry)
3.Submitted as a high resolution .pdf with 300 dpi or higher.
Logo Requirements
Contest Details
Winners will be selected by a panel which may include School
Cafeteria Staff and Cornell Cooperative Extension Warren County Staff.
Contestants agree that Cornell Cooperative Extension Warren County may publish
their logo and name(s) and may use both for advertising campaigns and/or
marketing materials in the future. Contestants assign all logo ownership rights
to Cornell Cooperative Extension Warren County. Additionally, Cornell
Cooperative Extension Warren County may alter, modify or revise the logo as
necessary to achieve the goals of the Farm to School Program. Cornell
Cooperative Extension of Warren County reserves the freedom to not select a
winner if, in its discretion, no suitable entries are received.
Prize
Contest winners will receive a Stewart’s Shops Gift Card.
There will be a gift card for $20, $10, and $5 awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place.
